I am so loving my new cast iron skillet that Andy got me for Christmas. It requires a little more care with cleaning, but it is awesome! I wanted to rolls in the skillet, so I found a recipe online and made them:
They basically pulled apart and I served them warm. They were really dense, which is just the way I love them since I'm a carb monster!
So here is the downside, they are really not very tasty the next day. They became dry and hard, nowhere near as good as the first day. I'm not going to keep this recipe because odds are we'll usually have leftovers from a skillet of rolls. But I'll continue my quest for rolls in a cast iron skillet!
