my new camera!!

My camera has been having issues for the last year or so, but it has gotten way worse in the last month.  The short version is that when it is in camera mode, pressing the button makes it take a video.  It does that about 9 out of 10 times....so taking a picture takes a lot of video junk and by then kitty isn't doing anything cute.  So we got a Best Buy coupon and Discover gift cards from our bank points and then bought a Sony on sale at Best Buy.  Sadly they were out of red, so we just got silver.  Actually we got the last camera in the store of this type, so we couldn't be picky on color.

We then used our Amazon gift cards to buy a bigger memory card and a case for free.  I needed a bigger memory card because my old camera had done me awesome but it was so old it was only 3.2 megapixels.  Doesn't require a lot of space at that size.  My new camera is 14.1 megapixels - woooooo.  So after the coupon, the sale, the gift cards...we got this new camera, case, and memory card for 43-ish dollars.  Are we bargain shoppers or what?

So we've been playing with it at home, and it has a coooooooool panoramic feature.  Now those of you who have bought a camera since 2004 might think this is old news, but since I've never had this feature, I think it's cool!  I tested it at home (you can click on the picture to make it bigger):

I have noticed that the pictures without the flash seem to be great - much better than the pictures without the flash from my old camera.  Of course the picture quality is better and the screen to view pictures on the camera is bigger, but best of all it takes a PICTURE not a video when I tell it to take a picture!
